Which of the following best describes how the author organizes the reasoning of his argument in the opening lines of the passage
Vilka [71]

Answer:

B. Tracing a sequence of events resulting in a positive outcome

Explanation:

Answer B

Correct. Writers frequently use certain recognizable approaches to develop and organize the reasoning of their arguments. In the opening lines of the passage, the author employs such a method of development when he traces a sequence of events that he believes have culminated in a positive outcome: the First World War happened; the war provided a cautionary example; world leaders have been trying to prevent another outbreak of war; in the end, they succeed in devising the “greatest preventive measures ever adopted by nations.” A method of development provides an audience with the means to trace a writer’s reasoning in an argument. In this case, the author’s approach to organizing his argument suggests that he understands recent peace preservation efforts in terms of a temporal chain of events—one in which each event is linked to the next by a causal logic.

What was the relationship among human foragers and the environment/nature, and how was it different from our relationships to ot
ASHA 777 [7]

The relationship between the human foragers and the environment was much different than the one of the modern times. The foragers where directly dependent on the environment for their survival. They were not producing anything, so they were using the environment to get food and all the resources they needed. Nowadays, the relationship between the humans and the environment is much different, as most of the humans are directly dependent on the environment for the survival. This has led to have much less appreciation of it and very often even destroying it. The humans' relationship with the environment nowadays is much more recreational, scientific, or to use it for their further development.

You can save one object before your house burns down. What is it? What makes that object important to you? Please elaborate and
KIM [24]
If my house was going to burn down and I could only save one object, I would save my grandfathers guitar. I would do this because it is a family heirloom, so it is very special to me. It is also the last thing I have left of my grandfather, so I want to be able to keep this guitar for as long as I can do it can be passed down to generations after me. The guitar has already been passed down through 2 generations before me so I would like to keep the tradition going and keep it in the family. It is also a rare guitar that isn’t made anymore so it is irreplaceable to my family.

Hope this helps! :)
