Thomas takes $25 to the store. He buys 4 gallons of milk for $14.40. How many more gallons of milk can Thomas buy?

14.40/4 = $3.6 per gallon

Basically, I divided to see how much per gallon for the top part

3.6x = 25

x ≈ 6 gallons

After I saw how many gallons, I made an equation to figure out how many more he could buy

2 gallons because if you divide 14.4 by 4 you get 3.6 per gallon. Multiply 3.6 by any gallon number then add that with the gallon choices and make sure it is less than or equal to 25
