What was significant about the Tokyo and Nuremberg Trials?

History

<span>One thing of interest at the Nuremberg Trials was its impact on the US and its eugenics programs.

The Progressives in the United Stated had launched a Eugenics program in the 1800s which was championed by the Democratic Party. This program called for the sterilization of women who might not produce offspring "suitable" to live among us. This included Jews, Blacks, Italians and the disabled. California was the most villainous state. This program was still going strong after WWII.

But at the Nuremberg Trials, when the nazis were being villified for their exterminations of certain races, they merely cited the US Eugenics programs as their role models. Shortly after that, the programs were ended in the US, and the history of the program was removed from school textbooks as if it never happened.

Fortunately, we have the Internet, and you can look up the history of Eugenics and understand why so-called Progressives are villified by the majority of Americans. hope this helped</span>

why are former socialist and command economies , like those of China Cuba and Russia adopting more free market practices
Scilla [17]

The reason of why this is happening is because since the fall of the Soviet Union socialism has proved not to be effective as an economic-political system. On the other hand, free market policies have led the countries that carry them out to improve their economies and stabilize their societies. Examples of countries destroyed and indebted by war, such as Japan or Germany, have gone ahead thanks to policies of international cooperation and free trade. Taking notice of this, the countries of the communist sphere have begun to develop free-market policies, in pursuit of achieving the development they observe in their neighboring countries.

How did vespasian find the money to build the colosseum?
Akimi4 [234]

"<em>The Colosseum" "Coliseum" or "Flavian Amphitheatre" </em>is an oval amphitheatre in the center of Rome, Italy. Built of travertine, tuff, and brick-faced concrete, it is the largest amphitheatre ever built. The emperor Vespasian initiated its construction in AD 72 and completed in AD 80. The emperor wanted to show how devoted he was to the Roman people, reason for what he sponsored the Colosseum. The construction of the colosseum was financed with the profits of Vespasian's war against the Jews.

Write a 7-15 sentence review on the Korean War
alexandr1967 [171]
The Korean War was largely a symptom of the greater Cold War between Western and Communist forces. The United States entered the war when it became apparent that democratic, capitalist South Korea was going to lose to Communist North Korea. The United States not only pushed North Korea back the original borders between the two Koreas, but continued to push northward under the direction of General Douglas McArthur.

This turned out to be a poor decision, drawing in communist China, who feared encirclement by the United States and her allies (Korea shares its northern border with China). China's involvement was devastating, sending hundreds of thousands of troops into the Korean peninsula and pushing the western alliance southward. The clash between these powerful forces eventually resulted in a ceasefire along the 38th parallel, the original border between the two Koreas. It is a ceasefire that still holds to this day.

The Korean War had many interesting and far-reaching consequences, including the protection of South Korea which went on to become one of the most prosperous countries in the world. It also led, several decades later, the nuclear crisis which the world finds itself in today.
