Cassandra's Cogs advertises on its website that 90% of customer orders are received within three working days. They performed an
nikklg [1K]

Answer:

Part A: yes

Part B: 50%

Step-by-step explanation:

There are two ways we can use a normal approximation for a sample: if the population it is from is normally distributed, or if the sample is sufficiently large (n > 30).  In this case, we don't know if the population is normally distributed, but we do know the sample size is larger than 30, so we can use normal approximation.

The sample proportion is normally distributed, with a mean equal to the mean of the population.  So there is a 50% chance that sample proportion is less than the population proportion.

The variable z varies jointly with x and y. If z = 18 when x = 2 and y = 6, find the constant of variation, k, and then find the
solniwko [45]

Answer:

The constant of variation k is 3/2.

The value of z is -30.

Step-by-step explanation:

As we know Function form is

Z=kxy-------------1

So for k

K = z/xy

So if z=18, x=2 y=6

k= 18/2 x6

k= 18/12

k=3/2

Now we have to find for z, now we know the value of x= -4  y =5 z =3/2

z= kxy

z= 3/2  (-4)(5)

z= -30

Mindy and Troy combined ate 99 pieces of the wedding cake. Mindy ate 3 pieces of cake and Troy had 1/4 of the total cake.
Allushta [10]

It doesn't give the entire question,  Do they want to know how many pieces were in the total cake?  If so, I think it would be 384.  You subtract the 3 pieces that Mindy ate and that leaves 96 that Tony had which was supposed to be 1/4 of the cake.  Dividing the cake into 4 sections of 96 and multiplying would give you 384.

If they want to know how many slices of cake were left after Tony ate the fourth (96 slices), it would be 288
