Given : A theater company has raised $930.75 by selling 25 floor seat tickets. Each ticket costs the same.

To Find : Write an equation with a variable that can be solved to correctly find the price of each ticket.

the price of each floor seat ticket.

Solution:

Let say price of each ticket  =  x  $

then price of 25 tickets  = 25x  $

Price of 25 tickets  =  $930.75

Equating both

25x  = 930.75

is required equation

25x  = 930.75

Divide both sides by 25

=> x = 930.75/25

=> x = 37.23  $

price of each floor seat ticket.  = 37.23  $

The answer is D. x-axis, because of the layout of (x,y), meaning there would be an x value of -10, but no y value so it would sit on the x-axis

kari74 [83]
If they sold 89 calendars over 4 weeks, the 'equation' would look like (x = average calendars sold over 4 weeks):
x =  \frac{89}{4}

If you solve it, you get:
22 \frac{1}{4}

Which is equal to 22.25. Hope this helps!
