Answer:

Women's empowerment is an important step in the empowerment of a nation for a number of social and historical reasons.

Analyzing the predominant social system in the world through the periods of human history, it is possible to see how the positions of leadership, authority and politics were mostly assumed by men, it is the so-called system of patriarchy, where men assume power and they command society. While men exercised social power, women were assigned to marriage, to be parents, and when they could work, they were only offered jobs inferior to men.

This historical context lasted for many centuries and even today it is possible to see its effects on society. Although women have won many of their basic rights such as the right to vote, work and education through much struggle and thanks to feminist movements, there is still a lot to be achieved compared to men.

Even today, surveys show a large disparity between the wages of men and women, even in the same job function, women earn less than half the salary of a man. There is also social sexism rooted in society, especially in countries where there is greater social inequality and access to information. Misogyny hypersexualizes female bodies and considers them a man's right, causing women to be seen as sexual objects and more passive in suffering domestic violence and feminicide.

Therefore, female empowerment is a crucial part of a fairer and more equal society regardless of gender, when women understand that they can and should have the right to their own body, education, equal wages and the possibility to choose their own destiny as an individual. that is, it becomes an essential part of the process of social change, it opens debates, encourages legality, protection from abuse, its just and dignified freedom.

Empowering women is empowering a nation, it is moving so that there are no more abuses and violence, it is a matter of public health, it is urgent and it is real. Women need security and protection, they need to have a voice and they need to be able to be in a male-dominated environment in the certainty of their capacity and intelligence as a free being.
