The story of the Night Calls by Lisa Fugard
has quite a dark theme. The main element is family love between an estranged
father-daughter relationship. The tone of writing was monotonous, perhaps that’s
why it lacks reviews from different sites. The mood is very touching. It shows
that there is really a deep, unconditional love among the family even after her
mother left. In a way, they still carry on with their lives taking care of each
