Answer: C. to highlight the fact that the speaker is no different from any other average American girl.

Explanation: In the given excerpt from "In Response to Executive Order 9066", the speaker emphasize her similarities with any other American girl, by highlighting the fact that even though she is Japanese-American, she doesn't feel comfortable using chopsticks (that is something used in everyday Japanese culture) and that her favorite food is hot dogs (which is a very American food).

How would a different point of view affect the story? In the case of
GarryVolchara [31]

Answer:

A different point of view would affect a story due to the fact that it will be about who it is coming from. The perspective would be different if we think about the fact that a bicycle is an inanimate object, so if that was the case this story would be considered fiction. The story would be different tremendously I can't even explain it enough, but the bike would probably talk about how it is  taken places all over, it might be like, this clown takes me all around to stores and sometimes rides me up and down streets with other friends and their bikes. If it were coming from the clown, it very much so depends on the personality of the clown. If the clown is nice, then they would probably be grateful for the bike they use and how it takes them everywhere they need to go, whereas if the clown was mean, then it would constantly be complaining about how useless the bike could be and if we go back to the bike's perspective, we can really tell how the bike would be used to the insults. So yea I really hope I answered your question and that you learned something from this :D

Explanation:

If it is 1st person, we get a lot of direct characterization and some indirect, and we will be viewing the story from their perspective. If it is third person, we might end up getting a lot of info about the people surrounding he narrator such as info about he, she, him, her, them, they and so much more!

As romeo is preparing to leave juliet, what argument does she use to convince him to stay?
scoray [572]
At first, Juliet wants Romeo to stay and is trying to convince him it's still the middle of the night. She tells him it is a night bird that he is hearing, not one that makes noise near to sunrise. She tells him it's a meteor he is seeing that is making the light, not the sun.

But then Romeo says he doesn't want to go -- he says it's fine if they catch him and kill him, he doesn't care. So then Juliet decides he'd better go so that he can live to see another day.

She says he looks pale as if he's in a tomb -- it's foreshadowing how he'll look the next time she sees him.
