Answer:

It acted as a safety net in case the structure collapse.

Explanation:

When building public infrastructures, a collapse in the structure could potentially resulted in large number of deaths.  This is why architects added protective features to the crucial components of the structure.

The protective features were designed to minimize the damage when there is some sort of problems in the crucial components of the structure.

When creating bridge for example, protective features often added to the foundation to ensure that the bridge wouldn't collapse completely in case one of the foundations is destroyed,

8_murik_8 [283]
(Bottom to top)
Biosphere- The ecosystem comprimising the entire Earth & the living organisms that inhabit it. Example: Where life occurs on, Earth
Biome- A large naturally occuring community of plants and animals Example: Rainforest, Tundra, Desert, Marine, Grasslands,  etc
Ecosystem- A community of living organisms  called producers, conumers, decomposers. Example: Plants (Producers) Rabbits (Consumers) Worms (Decomposers)
Community- Interacting group of various species Example: A forest of trees inhabited by animals.
Population- Traits of a group of plants and animals Example: 4 rabbits have broenn fur and 2 have black fur in a group.
Individual- Individual organisms Example:  An otter is a organism
Abiotic examples- Air, soil, sunlight, or water
Biotic examples- A frog, a leaf, or a tree

Protein synthesis consumes four high-energy phosphate bonds per added amino acid. Transcription consumes two high energy phospha
SVEN [57.7K]

Answer:

30 protein molecules per mRNA molecule

Explanation:

In this problem, it is necessary to have into account that the transcriptional process requires six (6) phosphate bonds to synthesize one (1) codon (i.e, each three nucleotides), and also discards 95% more energy to make mRNA, it means 19 times this amount of energy >> 6 x 19 = 114 bonds. In consequence, transcription requires 120 phosphate bonds (6 + 114 = 120), while translation requires four (4) phosphate bonds per codon. From this deduction, it is possible to find the number of protein molecules synthesized with regard to the energy cost of the translation process and the transcriptional process >>> 120 bonds (transcription) /4 bonds (translation) = 30 protein molecules.

The high efficiency particulate arrestor (hepa) filter in a recirculating biological safety cabinet will capture chemical vapors
vagabundo [1.1K]

High efficiency particulate arrestor is a type of air filter that can theoretically remove at least 99.97% of dust, pollen, mold, bacteria, and any airborne particles with a size of 0.3 microns. The HEPA filter does not remove vapors or gases.

HEPA air purifiers have some level of activated carbon-based material to absorb odors and chemicals .HEPA filters claim to remove particles like dust, allergens and mold spores from the air. HEPA filters are made by haphazardly arranging the polypropylene or fiberglass fibers (between 0.5 and 2.0 µm). While sometimes the fibers are arranged in a mess, the fibers can pass air through and trap some of the particles.
