From the information given;

We want to check which hemostat is a better buy from the two given criteria.

The first supplier is selling 12 hemostats for $444;

Now, the value for one hemostat from the dozen can be determined as  = $444/12

The value for one hemostat = $37

However, the second supplier also sells one hemostat for $35.

Therefore for a dozen hemostat; we will have:

=12 × $35

= $420

Suppose both hemostats are the same quality; it's better to buy from the second supplier. because $2 can be saved on each hemostat purchased.
