Tiresias was a blind prophet that Oedipus consulted because he wanted to know who was behind Lauis's death. Because Tiresias was reluctant in sharing this knowledge, it made Oedipus angry and resulted into anger and insults. Out of anger, Oedipus accuses tiresias of being the murderer. Tiresias responded to the accusation by calling Oedipus the murderer.
