NEW EQUATION: 8d = 4

SECOND: DIVIDE 8 to BOTH SIDES

CANCEL out: 8/8 because that gives you 1

KEEP: 4/8 because it helps you solve for you d-value

NEW EQUATION: d = 4/8

4/8 = d

4/8 = 1/2 = 0.5

Therefore, your answer is: d = 1/2 OR d = 0.5
