It is characterized by a lot of factors. Hence, there are two features of Richard's crusade to the holy land.

1. Siege of Acre: this occurred between 1189 to 1191 which eventually led to the decapitation of about 2,700 Muslim prisoners by King Richard.

And eventually, led to the killing of the Christian prisoners by Sladdine.

2. Battle of Arsuf: this led King Richard, to conquer Jaffa which comprises of coats, and set sight on Jerusalem.
