The quote from Garibaldi suggests that nationalism is closely tied to what other characteristic?
ikadub [295]
Good Morning!

B. love of country

Nationalism is always linked to a love for the country. The idea of homeland has a strong presence in the conception of the country as the sole source of security and the basis of life. Nationalism assumes the function of protecting the land and culture in which it is inserted, above all else.

Do you agree or disagree with
Volgvan

A. Mitchell Palmer was the United States Attorney General from 1919 to 1921. A. Mitchell Palmer is remembered for the "Palmer Raids," which were a series of raids that were designed to capture communist people in the United States. These focused on foreigners (particularly Italian and Eastern Europeans).

A. Mitchell Palmer argued that the raids were organized in order to prevent a radical communist revolution in the country. However, the efforts do not seem to have been particularly successful. The fear appears to have been exaggerated, and the raids only created chaos among the population. Moreover, they violated people's freedom of ideology and speech. Because of this, I would disagree with the raids, as they did not embody the democratic ideals that the United States is meant to protect.

Why is the visitation important to you as a catholic ?
statuscvo [17]

Answer:

In Catholicism, it is held that the purpose of this visit was to bring divine grace to both Elizabeth and her unborn child. Even though he was still in his mother's womb, John became aware of the presence of Christ, and leapt for joy as he was cleansed from original sin and filled with divine grace.
