A __________ is a wide-mouthed body of water close to shore.
A.gulf
B.bay
C.sea
D.lake
AlexFokin [52]
A bay (B) is a wide-mouthed body of water close to shore. A large bay is also known as a gulf (A). A small bay is known as a cove. A bay or a gulf may be found in both a sea or a lake and is partially surrounded by land. There are also cities that are built on the edge of a bay. They are known as bayside cities. A good example is Lagos, the capital city of Nigeria; a country on the African continent.

Comparison between the traditional and the new secondary schools in Jamaica
blondinia [14]
Secondary education in Jamaica has been quite complex, in large part because the system originally was extremely selective and elitist. As demand for secondary education grew over the years, a variety of institutions evolved to meet varying and changing needs. At the beginning of the 1990s there were seven different types of secondary schools. Each type of school had a program of instruction, and levels of accomplishment and academic and vocational skills varied among graduates. One of the objectives of the MOE&C during the 1990s was to develop some sort of curricular uniformity across the different types in order to ensure equity and quality. The Reform of Secondary Education (ROSE) project resulted in the construction of a common curriculum for grades seven through nine in all schools. It is hoped that the introduction of this junior high school curriculum will equalize educational opportunities for secondary students. The MOE&C is also developing and distributing secondary school textbooks.

Hope this helps!

How might the location of a city on a bay affect the economy of a city?
solmaris [256]

Answer:

The protection and restoration of the Chesapeake Bay and its streams and rivers are essential to a healthy and vibrant economy. The Bay provides countless opportunities and dollars in regards to its fishing, tourism, real estate, and shipping industries. Furthermore, working to restore this vital resource helps spur job growth and protect the countless livelihoods that depend on the Bay's health. Quite simply, failure to "Save the Bay™" threatens the Bay's value as an economic driver. Conversely, investing in clean-water technology creates jobs, generates economic activity, and saves money in the long run.
