Answer:

The racist attacks in 1919 were widespread, and often indiscriminate, but in many places, they were initiated by white servicemen and centered upon the 380,000 black veterans who had just returned from the war. “Because of their military service, black veterans were seen as a particular threat to Jim Crow and racial subordination,” notes a report by the Equal Justice Initiative

Why were groups such as the Federalists opposed to the War of 1812?
Alex_Xolod [135]
The Federalists were opposed to the War of 1812 because it would interfere with British trade relations. The Federalists considered England to be a great commercial ally, and since the Federalists were quite in favor of staying wealthy, they didn't want to risk ruining their connections.

The Hongwu Emperor was _____.
Mamont248 [21]

The correct answer is - the founder of the Ming dynasty.

The Hongwu Emperor was the emperor that is considered as the founder of the Ming dynasty  in China. He came to rule China in the 14th century, after the Mongol Empire started to dissolve, and the Mongols were pushed back out of China and into the northern steppes.

China in this period was in terrible conditions, as the Mongols were very cruel towards them, so there was a famine, diseases, peasant revolts, so he had a very hard job in front of him in order to reform and reconstruct the country. His reign can be seen as somewhat of a transitional faze in the Chinese society.
