During the election of 1800, Federalists cast Thomas Jefferson as an infidel because of his strict advocacy for the separation of Church and State. Adams ran as Jefferson's main opponent, running mates Jefferson and Aaron Burr received the same number of electoral votes.
It was a terrible thing people with families died and they just wanted to help the nation ( rlly stupid ik XD ) but they got themselves killed or were near death because they were shot at and very badly wounded. It makes no sence why there are wars but they are and they SUCK. :3
