Why the american revolution was better than the french revolution
qwelly [4]

Answer:

We should rather say that the American Revolution was an accomplished social and political project, which the French Revolution was not.

The 13 colonies of America issued a Declaration of Independence and passed a Constitution that were constructed around many ideals of the Enlightenment, incorporating the ideas of personal liberty, right to life, pursuit of happinness as natural rights of men. The best fruit of the Revolutionary War is the birth of the United States, a successful democratic republic.

The French Revolution proclaimed the Rights of Man and was also inspired by the lofty ideals of Enlightenment. It was radical, having overthrown and beheaded a king, an astonishing event in a monarchy-dominated Europe. However, the revolution in France led to chaos, power abuses abd revolutionary terror. The revolution ended in 1799, when Napoleon Bonaparte took power. A few years later, he crowned himself as emperor.

What prompted the United States to send supplies to Israel during the Yom Kippur War of 1973?
photoshop1234 [79]
What prompted the United States to send supplies to Israel during the Yom Kippur War of 1973 is the Egypt’s support of Syria.

In 1972, Anwar el-Sadat ousted and excluded 20,000 Soviet advisers from Egypt and started new diplomatic channels with Washington, D.C., which, as Israel’s key ally, would be a vital mediator in any future peace talks. Sadat formed a new alliance with Syria, and an attack on Israel was planned.

When the fourth Arab-Israeli war opened on the 6th of October 1973, a lot of Israel’s soldiers were away from their posts observing Yom Kippur--- Day of Atonement. Arab armies made a strong impression on their advances with their up-to-date Soviet weaponry. Soon, Iraqi forces joined the war, and Syria was supported by Jordan.
Many days after, Israel was fully mobilized. The Defense Forces of Israel started beating back the Arab gains at a huge cost to soldiers and equipment.
Airlift of arms of United States aided Israel’s cause, but as a tactic signal of the United States' sympathy for Egypt, President Richard Nixon (1913-94) delayed the emergency military aid for a week.
An Egyptian-Israeli cease-fire was secured by the United Nations on October 25,

Why did the United States establish the Open Door policy?
olga55 [171]
Many great European powers had been exploiting China's weak economic system to enforce their own trade regulations for years. The United States simply wanted to join the fray, so the Open Door notes were sent to the European powers basically stating, "Hey, you guys can't own all of China, make sure that all countries get to trade equally with them."

Just as a side note, the Open Door policy with China was extremely hypocritical for the United States, as the Monroe Doctrine of 1823 basically stated that none of the European powers could interfere with the Western Hemisphere... While no one was allowed to touch the Americas, the United States was apparently allowed to mess with the rest of the world.
