Hi !

So basically all you need to do with an equation like this move the decimal.

And the direction you move it depends on the value of the largest digit as well as if it is larger or smaller than 0.

So lets look at 10 and make it 10.0 so its a decimal and make things a bit easier.

So 10.0 is just one digit moved in the decimal world. (100.0 would be 2, 1000.0 would be 3, and so on.)

And 10.0 is greater than 0.

Greater than 0 = Move decimal left

Less than 0 = Move decimal right

So now we know to move one space to the left.

512.3

One to the left

51.23

And its that easy, that is your answer.

I hope this helps!

the sum of three numbers is 2100. the first number x is equal to the sum of the other two (y and z) which are equal to each othe
max2010maxim [7]
We will have a system of equations, and we are going to solve it by using substitution.
Let's make the equations.
x+y+z=2100
z+y=x
Since y and z are equal, I think it is easier for us to have them as one variable for now. Let the value of z and y be a.
These are the equations now.
x+2a=2100
2a=x
Since the second equation is giving the value of x, let it replace the value of x also in the first equation.
2a+2a=2100
4a=2100
2100÷4= 525
so, x and y equal 525. Let's put this in our original equation.
x+525+525=2100
x+ 1,050= 2,100
x= 1,050
So, x=1,050, y= 525 =z.

Evaluate the equation 2L+6=6L-10
nadezda [96]

Answer:

2

Step-by-step explanation:

2L + 6 = 6L - 10                      Add 10 to both sides

2L + 6 + 10 = 6L                     Combine the left.

2L + 16 = 6L                           Subtract 2L from both sides

16 = 6L + 2L                           Combine the right

16 = 8L                                   Divide by 8

8L = 16

8L/8 = 16/8

L = 2
