The magazine Sports Illustrated asked a random sample of 750 Division I college athletes, "Do you believe performance-enhancing
Ostrovityanka [42]

Answer:

a) Mean = 0.30, SD = 0.017

Step-by-step explanation:

The mean and sampling distribution of the sample proportion can be found using the equations

Mean= p

SD=\sqrt{\frac{p*(1-p)}{n} }

where

  • n is the sample size (750)
  • p is the sample proportion of all Division I athletes think that these drugs are a problem (0.30 or 30%)

Using these information:

Mean = 0.30

SD=\sqrt{\frac{0.30*0.70}{750} } ≈ 0.017

0.121122111222... if the pattern continues, is this a repeating decimal? why or why not?
hammer [34]
First we observe pattern here. The pattern is one  number "1" and one number "2" than two numbers "1" and two numbers "2" and so on. Every next array of numbers 1 and 2 will have one extra member.

Because of this, 0.121122111222... isn't repeating decimal. Repeating decimal has some number of decimals that keep repeating. For example if we had:
0.121122  121122  121122 ... this would be repeating decimal because 121122 segment keeps repeating.

In your task you can't find a segment that keeps repeating.
