While many other expeditions were made, none of them actually found new scientific discoveries, like Lewis and Clark's expedition. On these expeditions, when they found an animal or specimen, they would send them back to the known part of the USA. Some of these specimens were alive, but most were parts and bones. With these specimens, people back home could eat new food from these new animals, find new ways to defend themselves from these wild beasts, and it strongly influenced the progress of science.

This holiday reminds us about how each and every one of us all is supposed to show equalness to others. D.r King taught us to look at each other equally and not to judge anyone by the color of the skin. Martin Luther King dedicated his life to inspire others by helping move Civil Rights Movement move in a more positive direction and affect real change.
