Hello,

The correct answer is D) -50.49 meters

STEPS:

17% of total distance

it has a total distance of 99 ft

so it descends 17% of 99

17% of 99=0.17 times 99=16.83 feet per minute

3 minutes is  3 times 16.83 feet down or 50.49 down

Hope this helps!!!! :)

17% of 99 is 16.83. Since that's only the distance it goes in one minute we have to multiply that by 3. 16.83 × 3 = 50.49. Since the elevator is moving down then it will be negative. The answer will be -50.49 meters.

I just answered a so let's start with b :

b. The equivalent resistance of series

resistances is equal to their sum

Thus :

equivalent resistance = 480 + 360

equivalent resistance = 840

Answer:

A) Fill the blanks, Fail, 0.15, Success, 244, 0.61

B) 240 times

Step by-step explanation:

A) Void , 96, 0.24

Fail, 60, it should be 0.15 because 60/400

     Success, 400 - 96- 60 or 244 and the relative frequency is 0.61.

B)

There is a total of 1000. If the relative frequency is 0.24, multiply 0.24 by 1000 to get the amount of times YOU would expect to be VOID.

Or in other words , 240 times

By proving it add all up

0.24 x 1000 + 0.76 x 1000 = 1000

The answer is x²-8x+13=0
Here is how:
[x-(4+√3)][x-(4-√3)]=0
expand and simplify:
x² -(4-√3)x - (4+√3) +(4+√3)(4-√3)=0
x²-8x+13=0
