Identify the kinds of sentence simple, compound or complex pls urgent

English
1 answer:

Answer:

The sentence is a complex sentence.

Explanation:

I'll explain each of them.

A simple sentence consists of just one independent clause, and it should be one sentence. Therefore, it does not pertain to the sentence in the image, since it includes a comma in between.

A compound sentence is made up of two independent clauses. Independent clauses can stay on its own and be two complete sentences, even after the comma is removed. However, the first part of the sentence, "Finding himself in difficulty," is not a complete sentence. This is when the complex sentence comes into play

A complex sentence is made up of one dependent clause, and one independent clause. Dependent clauses cannot stay on its own and is not a complete sentence. In this case, as I mentioned earlier, the first part of the sentence is an incomplete sentence, and the second part of the sentence is a complete sentence: "He went to his teacher for help."

I hope this helped you understand more about Simple, Compound, and Complex Sentences.

Answer:

B

Explanation:

A fused sentence is a run-on sentence in which two independent clauses run together with no proper punctuation mark like a period or semi-colon, or conjunction like and or but between them. In sentence number B, there is no punctuation mark or conjunction; hence, it is a fused sentence.

elena-s [515]

Answer:

Explanation:

Although the narrator does not explicitly state that Patrick has announced that he is leaving Mary, his pregnant wife, the words "of course, I'll give you money and see that you're taken care of" make clear his intention. He comments that it would make trouble for him in his job as a policeman if he abandons her.
