Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

To find x, we need to do opposite operations.

x+6=17

Subtract 6 from both sides, since subtraction is the opposite of addition, thus cancelling the 6 out.

x+6=17

 -6   -6

x=11

So x is 11.

hope it helps

5 and 1/4 can be 5.25 so all you have to do is divide that by 3 and you’ll get 1.75 per container.

If you wanted to keep it as a fraction, 5 and 1/4 would become 21/4 (you do 5 x 4= 20 + 1) and for fractions I always remembered dividing as ‘Keep, Change, Flip’ so you would do 21/4 for keep. Change would be to change the sign from division to multiplication. And for Flip you would flip 3 over 1 (3/1) to 1/3

Putting that all together would be 21/4 x 1/3 which also equals 21/12 by multiplying the denominators and numerators. Then you simplify, dividing it by 3 to equal 7/4 and another simplify to be 1 and 3/4 which is 1.75.

Hope this helps!

Juli2301 [7.4K]

Answer:

The sampling distribution is, p = center = 0.043

The standard deviation of the sample, s = 6.0015×10⁻⁴

The shape is normal

Step-by-step explanation:

Here we have the standard deviation of a sample proportion, given by the following relation;

Standard \ deviation \ of\ \hat p = \sqrt{\frac{p(1-p)}{n} } =  \sqrt{\frac{0.043 \times (1-0.043)}{114250} } = 6.0015 \times 10^{-4}

The center = p = 4.3% or 0.043

The shape is found by the value of n×p hence;

114250 × 0.043 = 4912.75 > 10 and

n(1 - p) = 114250 × (1 - 0.043) = 109337.25 also > 10 hence the shape is normal.

If 6:2=8:x, then<br><br> a. 6x = 16<br> b. 6x = 10<br> c. 2x = 48<br> d. 2x = 14
stellarik [79]

Answer:

6x = 16

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

\displaystyle \large{6:2 = 8:x}

The equation can be rewritten as:

\displaystyle \large{\dfrac{6}{2}=\dfrac{8}{x}}

Multiply both sides by 2x.

\displaystyle \large{\dfrac{6}{2}\cdot 2x=\dfrac{8}{x}\cdot 2x}

Simplify the equation in simplest form.

\displaystyle \large{6x=8\cdot 2}\\\\\displaystyle \large{6x=16}

Therefore, the answer to this question is 6x = 16.
