Answer:

a). x=18x2

        18x2=36

Don spent 36 dollars.

b). x=36x0.3

        36x0.3=10.8

Brad's sister spent 10 dollars and 80 cents.

c). 36+18=54

1.0-0.13 = 0.87

54x0.87=46.98

54-46.98=7.02

Don and Brad paid 7 dollars and 2 cents in tax.

Mrs. Clark has a glass vase with a base shaped like a hexagon, as shown. The vase is 30 cm tall and the hexagon base has an area
Lisa [10]

Answer: The correct option is fourth, i.e., 1935 cm³.

Explanation:

It is given that the vase is 30 cm tall and the hexagon base has an area of 64.5 cm².

The area of a hexagon base is,

A=\frac{3\sqrt{3}} {2}a^2

Where, a is the side length.

The volume of the a hexagon glass is,

V=\frac{3\sqrt{3}} {2}a^2\times h

V=A\times h

Where, A is area of base of hexagon and h is height of the hexagon glass.

V=64.5\times 30

V=1935

Therefore the volume of the glass is 1935 cm³ and the glass can hold 1935 cm³ water. So, fourth option is correct.

PLSS HELP ME!!!<br><br><br>question <br><br>3x - 4/5= - 1/2<br><br>what is the value of x?
Minchanka [31]

Answer:

x = \frac{1}{10}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

3x - \frac{4}{5} = - \frac{1}{2}

Multiply through by 10, the lcm of 5 and 2 to clear the fractions

30x - 8 = - 5 ( add 8 to both sides )

30x = 3 ( divide both sides by 30 )

x = \frac{3}{30} = \frac{1}{10}

What is the variance of the following data? If necessary, round your answer to two decimal places. 17, 13, 13, 22, 11, 20
Bond [772]
Variance is the standard deviation squared but we're not going to use that now. Let's first calculate the mean:

mean = (17+13+13+22+11+20)/6 = 16.

Now for each value, let's see how far it is from this mean. We'll square these distances and average them. That's our variance.

17 distance 1 squared = 1
13 distance 3 squared = 9
13 distance 3 squared = 9
22 distance 6 squared = 36
11 distance 5 squared = 25
20 distance 4 squared = 16

Now average these outcomes:

variance = (1+9+9+36+25+16)/6 = 16.

So the variance by coincidence is the same as the mean.

Answer C is your answer.
