I would carefully record its position and invite palaeontologists from nearby universities and museums to help me excavate it and study it.

Should it turn out to be a new species, I might even have it named after me.

Mind you, since all the rocks in my area are Carboniferous, and thus predate dinosaurs by a large margin, finding one here would make me famous as my discovery would lead to the entire evolutionary history of terrestrial life being rewritten.
