Complete Question:

Which situation illustrates quadratic equation?

a. The length of a rectangular board is 3m longer than its width and its perimeter is 25m.

b. Joey paid at least P2,000 for the shirt and pants.The cost of pants is P700 more than the shirt.

c. A garden's length is 7m longer than its width and the area is 18 square meter.

d. A lot costbP4,000 per square meter and the area is 120 square meters.

Answer:

C.

Step-by-step explanation:

Required

Determine which option answers the question, correctly.

From the list of given options, only option c answers the question correctly.

This is shown below.

Represent

Length with l and Width with w, such that:

l = 7 + w

Area (A) is calculated as thus:

A = l * w

Substitute 7 + w for l and 18 for A.

This gives:

18 = (7 + w) * w

Open Bracket

18 = 7w + w^2

Reorder

w^2 + 7w = 18

Subtract 18 from both sides

w^2 + 7w - 18= 18 - 18

w^2 + 7w - 18= 0

See that the above expression is a quadratic equation.

egoroff_w [7]

Answer:

The missing base measure of the enlarged trapezoid is 4cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

2 / 3.25 = x / 6.5

Step 2:

Cross product

2 * 6.5 = 3.25 * x

Step 3:

Simplify

13 = 3.25x

Step 4:

Divide both sides by 3.25

13 / 3.25 = 3.25x / 3.25

4 = x

x = 4

The missing base measure of the enlarged trapezoid is 4cm.

May Someone please answer this hard math question for me?
ira [324]

Im thinking line x, because the coordinates on lines y & e and f & z are the same, but flipped (first touching point for f is (3, 1) and first touching point for e is (1, 3). It gives the rules for lines y & e and f & z, but not for x? And line x is the only one that doesn't have another line like this.

The total amount of deductions from an employee’s gross pay is $83.20. If the gross pay is $378.18, what percent of their gross
Masja [62]

Answer:

22%

Step-by-step explanation:

A percent of something can be thought of as part of that thing divided by the total amount of the same thing and multiplied by 100%.

In this case, the part of the thing is part of a paycheck. The total thing is the total paycheck.

Percent=\frac{Part}{Total} *100%%

Percent=\frac{83.20}{378.18} *100=0.2200*100=22.000%
