Please read the poem and paraphrase each stanza.
When your done with paraphrasing, answer these questions... Who is the speaker? Where is the seating/ where do you think the setting is? Summarize the poem into one paragraph. What topics are addressed in the poem? What is the speaker’s attitude of the topic/topics? How do you know that’s the speakers attitude? Provide evidence? Last set of questions: What message does the poet convey about the topic/topics in the poem? What message do you think the poet wants you to consider about this topic? How does the theme of the novel relate to the world or to humanity in general? Last question: Write a thematic statement about the poem.
