In braising meat, we have to first season the meat with the spices and have to leave it aside for some hours.  So this is the thing that needs to be done before anything. After that, cooking process would start.

After that the vegetables can be cooked, tomato paste can be made and roux can be prepared and can be added as needed during the cooking process.
