You’ll distribute the 7 from (x-4) so your equation will be
28-x>_ 7x-28
then you’ll combine like terms (-x and 7x and 28 and -28
-56>_ -8x
divide by -8 on both sides and flip your sign
you’re answer is x<_7
x is less then or equal to 7

ankoles [38]

Answer: a=1

Step-by-step explanation:

-8(a-4)+3a=2(4a+9)+1          given

-8a+32+3a=8a+18+1            distribute

+8a             +8a

32+3a=16a+18+1                  subtraction property of equality

    -3a  -3a

32=13a+18+1                         addition property of equality

32=13a+19                             add like terms

-19        -19

13=13a                                    addition property of equality

÷13 ÷13

1=a                                          multiplication property of equality

a=1 is the answer. Hope this helps!

A nurse is to give the liquid medicine 3 times a day. The morning dose is 3/4 ounce, the noon dose is 1/2 ounce and the evening
arsen [322]

Answer:

she need 1/2 ounce more.

Step-by-step explanation:

The morning dose = 3/4 ounce .

The noon dose =  1 /2 ounce .

The evening dose = 3/4 ounce .

Since the nurse has 1 ounce of medicine at noon ,

From the 1 ounce , 1/2 ounce will consume at noon and for evening she requires 3/4 ounce but she has left with only 1/2 ounce.So to fulfill the evening dose she needs \frac{3}{4} - \frac{1}{2} =\frac{1}{2}  ounce.

So she need 1/2 ounce more.

4. The area of a rectangular vegetable garden is (12u2 - 8u - 15)m?
SIZIF [17.4K]

Answer:

L = (6u + 5)m ; W = (2u-3)m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given;

Area of the rectangular vegetable garden, A = (12u² - 8u - 15)m²

Let the length of the rectangular vegetable garden = L

Let the width of the rectangular vegetable garden = W

A = L x W

Factorize the given area;

= 12u² - 8u - 15

= 12u² -18u + 10u - 15

= 6u(2u - 3) + 5(2u - 3)

= (6u + 5)(2u-3)

Thus, L = (6u + 5)m     and     W = (2u-3)m

Option B, is the right solution, although it was wrongly typed.
