The tone of The Secret Garden is both dark and hopeful so B. Since they are both abused but sort out these issues which give them hope and makes them well... hopeful. I hope this helps!

I would say it is C. Spooky. There is misery in the story but there are other things that bring the characters joy. So I would say it is more spooky. With all the secrets and mystery in the story.

Even though the whole scene is about trying to show that Miss Cardew is eligible for marriage, Lady Bracknell doesn't seem to accept it until she learns how much money she has. Suddenly then she seems to be a viable candidate for marriage.
