Answer:

The probability that he or she orders either a pizza or salad is 80%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : At a pizza shop, 75% of the customers order pizza, 20% of the customers order salad, and 15% of the customers order a pizza and a salad. If a costumer isn’t chosen at random.

To find : What is the probability that he or she orders either a pizza or salad?

Solution :

Let A be the event that customer order Pizza

Let B be the event that customer order Salad

75% of the customers order pizza,

P(A)=75%=0.75

20% of the customers order salad,

P(B)=20%=0.20

15% of the customers order a pizza and a salad,

P(A\cap B)=15%=0.15

Now, The probability that he or she orders either a pizza or salad

P(A\cup B)= P(A)+P(B)-P(A\cap B)

P(A\cup B)= 0.75+0.20-0.15

P(A\cup B)= 0.95-0.15

P(A\cup B)= 0.80

Therefore, The probability that he or she orders either a pizza or salad is 80%.

Question 9<br> Write the equation of the line passing through (3,-17) parallel to 8x - 7y=87
just olya [345]

Rewriting the equation of the given line in slope-intercept form,

8x-7y=87\\\\-7y=-8x+87\\\\7y=8x-87\\\\y=\frac{8}{7}x-\frac{87}{7}

The slope of the given line is thus 8/7, and since parallel lines have the same slope, the slope of the line we want to find is also 8/7.

Substituting into point-slope form,

y+17=\frac{8}{7}(x-3)\\\\y+17=\frac{8}{7}x-\frac{24}[7}\\\\\boxed{y=\frac{8}{7}x-\frac{143}{7}}

Help!!! Which of the following best describes abc?
solong [7]

Answer:

Inscribed Angle (A)

Step-by-step explanation:

in geometry, an inscribed angle is the angle formed in the interior of a circle when two secant lines (or, in a degenerate case, when one secant line and one tangent line of that circle) intersect on the circle. It can also be defined as the angle subtended at a point on the circle by two given points on the circle.
