The four main keys to growth in Christ would be the sacraments, baptism, confirmation, regular reception of Penance and the Eucharist, humility, regular prayer (particularly meditation) and works of abnegation, and last but not least the corporal and spiritual works of mercy, particularly as Our Blessed Lord indicated that this is how we are going to be judged.
