Answer:

The Boston tea party started because the American colonists were angry with their British counter parts. They were angry because they were taxed without having any representation in the government. Tea was one of the big things that was taxed, so the colonists wanted to make a statement. They wanted to say that if we don’t have any say in our well being, then we aren’t going to give up without a fight. If you have trouble remembering this, remember No Taxation Without Representation!
