Answer:

ok so im so confused but like you know i tried and i got this:

X years ago, the father’s age and the son’s age would be (32 - x) and (7 - x) years old.

(32 - x)(7 - x) = 116

(x - 32)(x - 7) = 116

x^2 - 39x + 224 = 116

x^2 - 39x + 108 = 0

(x - 3)(x - 36) = 0

x = 3, 36

But (32 - x) > 0, so x does not equal to 36.

x = 3

3 years ago, the father would be 29 years old, and the son 4 years old.

i know it sounds crazy but i think its wrong lol

Prove the theorem (AB )^T= B^T. A^T
Lisa [10]

Answer:

(AB)^T = B^T.A^T  (Proved)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given  (AB )^T= B^T. A^T;

To prove this expression, we need to apply multiplication law, power law and division law of indices respectively, as shown below.

(AB)^T = B^T.A^T\\\\Start, from \ Right \ hand \ side\\\\B^T.A^T = \frac{B^T.A^T}{A^T}.\frac{B^T.A^T}{B^T} (multiply \ through) \\\\                = \frac{A^{2T}.B^{2T}}{A^T.B^T} \\\\=\frac{(AB)^{2T}}{(AB)^T} \ \ (factor \ out \ the power)\\\\= (AB)^{2T-T}  \ (apply \ division \ law \ of \ indices; \ \frac{x^a}{x^b} = x^{a-b})\\\\= (AB)^T \ (Proved)

if caramel is put onto a sphere-shaped apple such that the surface area increase at a rate of 10 cm2/min, find the rate at which
tresset_1 [31]

Answer:

The diameter will increase at a rate of 1/30π cm/min

Step-by-step explanation:

Here we want to calculate the rate at which the diameter will increase

Mathematically, the area of a sphere is given as;

A = 4πr^2

But r = d/2

so A = 4 * π * d/2 * d/2 = πd^2

dA/d(d) = 2πd

Thus dd/dA = 1/2πd = 1/2 * π * 15 = 1/30π

Given dA/dt = 10

Mathematically;

d(d)/dt = d(d)/dA * dA/dt

dd/dt = 1/30π * 10 = 10/30π = 1/3π cm/min
