The number of electoral votes for any state is found by adding the number of house members and senators from that state.

For instance, South Dakota has 2 senators and 1 house of representative member leading to 2+1 = 3 electoral college votes.

What role does the legislature or parliament fulfill in a constitutional monarchy?
Nutka1998 [239]
The legislature or parliament is the law making arm or branch of the government in a constitutional monarchy. The Legislature is responsible for making and amending laws. A constitutional monarchy is a government system employed by countries that were once colonies of England but have now gained independence. The Queen is still the Head of State for that government but is usually represented by a Governor General. As the Head of State, the Governor General's signature is needed to finalize a bill becoming a law.
