Answer:

The EMF of each battery is 6 volts and the EMF of two batteries connected in series is 12 volts.

Explanation:

According to the Kirchhoff's Voltage Law, net voltage of a closed circuit must be zero. That is:

\Sigma \limits_{i=1}^{n} V_{i} = 0 (1)

Where V_{i} is the voltage of the i-th component of the closed circuit, measured in volts. Please notice that voltage for a power generating element (i.e. EMF) is less than zero and for a power consuming element is greater than zero (i.e. Batteries being charged by the EMF). In addition, if n-elements are connected in series, then the equivalent voltage is:

V_{eq} = \Sigma\limits_{i = 1}^{n} V_{i} (2)

Let consider that closed system is formed by two batteries connected in series and an EMF, by (1) and (2) we have that:

V_{EMF} - V_{eq,batt} = 0

V_{EMF} = V_{1}+V_{2} (3)

If we know that V_{1} = V_{2} = 6\,V, then the EMF of the battery is:

V_{EMF} = 12\,V

The EMF of each battery is 6 volts and the EMF of two batteries connected in series is 12 volts.

C. divides the flow of river systems in the United States into east and west

Explanation:

The continental divide divides the flow of river systems in the United States into east and west. The divide separates water bodies that runs into the Atlantic from those going into the Pacific ocean.

  • The divide is the most prominent rocky feature that separates water bodies in the Americas.
  • It runs from the Andes down south to the Rocky up North.
  • It is a distinct mountain range that typically follows a linear form.

What type of tidal range will Earth have when the Moon is in it's last quarter position?
Brrunno [24]
Neap tides are formed during the moon's last quarter phase.

Neal tides is the result difference of high and low tides. They are really weak tides, and they occur when the sun and the moons gravity forces, along with the Earth, are perpendicular to each other.

grigory [225]

Answer:

r^\frac{1}{2}

Explanation:

Angular momentum, L = m v r

areal velocity = \frac{dA}{dt}

according to kepler's 2nd law

\frac{dA}{dt}=\frac{L}{2m}

since, we know that

v=\sqrt{\frac{Gm}{r} }

areal velocity= \frac{mvr}{2m} = \frac{vr}{2}

now substituting value of v in areal velocity we get

\frac{1}{2}\sqrt{GMr}

hence from above equation of rate of change of area swept i.e. areal velocity is proportional to   r^\frac{1}{2}
