The Mystical Island

As I opened my eyes the sun shone brightly. Water splashed over my feet and I jumped up, dizzy after being asleep. I looked around at my surroundings and saw that I was on a small beach. Confusion filled my mind. I had no idea how I got here. I began to walk up the beach towards the tree line. Something bright flew past my face. 'Ugh, bugs', I thought to myself. I walked into the forest and kept the beach in view, just in case I needed to go back. As I wandered, many small animals scurried around. Then, I saw a horse. I wasn't sure whether to approach it or leave. I didn't really get a chance to decide because a twig snapping brought it's attention towards me. However, when it looked up, a silver horn adorned the top of it's head. A unicorn. Were those actually real? I must be dreaming still right? That would explain so much. We stared at each other for a minute. Then two. Then it started making it's way towards me. I didn't really know what to do, so I just stood there, panicked, not knowing the creatures intentions. It stopped just about a foot in front of me and bowed its head. I bowed my own to it as well, confused. Out of the corner of my eye I saw the same bright bug from before sitting on a branch. Was it just a bug? I squinted my eyes to try and get a better look. It was a tiny person. It was a pixie. I was definitely dreaming, right? The unicorn walked past me and I thought it was just leaving. I thought wrong when it turned back to look at me and neighed. It whipped its tail against my arm, signaling for me to follow it. It hurt. Did that mean this was real? I turned back towards the branch, but the light was gone. I followed the unicorn back to the beach. It led me up the coast to a small dock. Tied to it was a beautiful small boat. I looked familiar to me, but I don't know why. The unicorn nudged me towards it. I stepped onto it and opened a storage chest. There was a compass, maps, and books. My books. The ones about fairies that I keep on my shelves. I looked up and sitting on the lid was the little pixie girl from earlier. She was smiling at me. "Is this real?", I asked her. She nodded enthusiastically. I smiled and stood. Is this the place from my stories? Is it actually real? I wanted to find out. The pixie sat on top of my shoulder and pointed in a direction. I may as well explore more while I'm here. I began to go in the direction she pointed me in, with the unicorn following.
