However some cons would be that the electoral college was set in place by our founding fathers for a reason. It gives every state, no matter how small, a say. If California, a dominantly liberal state with a high population, votes without the electoral college it crushes the competition making America a place where you opinion doesnt matter because its dominately liberal.
