Whispers Upon
The whispers of the night,
So careful yet so light,
Quiet but strong,
Somewhat like a bong,
Yet what is whispering,
Ever so lightly and assuring,
Makes the light glow so.
Though these whispers upon, so low,
Yet high as if to reach to the sky,
I hear them, I know them, so high,
They whisper upon,
They whisper upon the world's lawn,
Only to whisper upon me,
Above that tree,
To my ears, gen-tl-y.
