Answer:

Uncle: Emotional. honest, open. Local newspaper: Logical, demanding, and persuasive. Mayor: Assertive, concerned, polite.

Explanation:

It is common to be open/emotional with a family member, newspaper creators would like to see a persuasive and logical appeal to a letter. and the mayor should by respected and treated with manners.

...our fear-drenched communities…
egoroff_w [7]
I'm learning about this at school at the minute, I think it might be a metaphor, because a community can't actually be drenched in fear. It is not personification because it is not making anything that shouldn't be real, real.

Sorry if that didn't make sense, I'm just trying to get my point across of how I think that it is a metaphor. ☺

Answer: b) interpret it based on their framework of experience.

Explanation: The one certain thing about the message you sent to the receiver is that the receiver will interpret it based on their framework of experience. When the receiver gets the message he starts decoding its symbols. He does this by interpreting those symbols according to his framework of experience, making those symbols meaningful for him.
