Homeostasis is critical to keep the correct internal functioning of the body.

I know of a surety that A, B, and D all apply to Acids and must be false and completely opposite for Bases. That leaves me with the answer C. I don't remember learning about this in particular during Biology but I do believe that if any one was correct it would be that one. <u><em>My final answer is C.</em></u>
