Answer:

The Supreme Court determines the constitutionality of laws passed by Congress.

Explanation:

The Supreme Court verifying the constitutionality of laws passed by Congress is an example of Montesquieu's checks and balances.

The Supreme Court is a part of the Judicial Branch, while Congress is a part of the Legislative Branch.

By allowing the Supreme Court to determine the constitutionality of Congress' laws, this prevents the legislative branch from passing any unjust laws.

This is an example of checks and balances, where it prevents a certain branch of government from becoming too powerful.

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Here we just have some sentences and considerations, but there is no question at all. It seems you forgot to include the question.

It is true all the things you attach, but what do you want to know?

If we can help to add some comments, these would be:

Yes, native populations in North America developed a wide variety of social, political, and economic structures based in part on interactions with the environment and each other. But everything changed with the arrival of the white European colonists. They had a completely different vision of life, society, business, and culture.

This encounter was difficult and the Native American Indians tribes got the worst part.

White Europeans came to the Americans to start a new life and make a profit. Some others were being persecuted by the church because of religious differences, and in the Americas, found a new place to practice their religious values.

But most Europeans wanted to exploit the many raw materials and natural resources found in the Americas. That is why they wanted more and more land, to make a profit.

The vision of the Indian tribes was completely different. They saw nature as a "mother" and truly respect her as so. That is why they created songs, chants, and dances, to honor mother nature.

Order these social classes from most powerful (at the top) to least powerful (at the bottom)
aleksley [76]
Most Powerful were pharaohs, landowners/priests/farmers, and then slaves!

Pharaohs were rulers therefore they were at the top. Priests had a lot of power since they were considered appointed by God. Farmers and laborers worked for the land owners putting them third. And slaves are at the bottom, being the least powerful!!

How did the proposals in the Crittenden Compromise seek to avoid secession of the southern states? Select the two correct respon
sdas [7]

Answer:B) One proposal(...) could not exist.

D) One proposal (...) could not be returned.

Explanation: The 36 degree 30 latitude N line would separate the slave territories from the abolitionists; all states would be subject to the federal regime and the new states would be admitted with or without slavery as decided by their particular constitutions.

On the other hand, Congress would have to pay slave owners, in accordance with the law, the total value of any runaway slave who did not return because of the Nordic opposition.
