\boxed{ \sf{Answer}}

____________________

(a) A = 5 kgwt

B = 10 N

First convert 5 kgwt to N,

5 \times 9.8 \\  = 49 \: N

Net force [the forces are acting in 2 opposite directions]

A - B \:  \\  = 49 - 10 \\  = 39 \: N

____________________

(b) Since, the force is greater by A ↦the block will move towards B, i.e, to the <u>right.</u>

____________________

(c) <u>Frictional</u><u> </u><u>force</u><u> </u>will try to oppose the motion of the block but since A has greater force than B, the frictional force will be resisted.

A grasshopper jumps straight up at 5.33 m/s. How much time does it take for it to return to earth? If u know please help.
sattari [20]
1) Time to get the highest point of it pathway>

Vf = Vo - g*t

Vf = 0 (condition of maximum height)
Vo = 5.33 m/s
g = 9.81 m/s

=> t = Vo / g = 5.33 m/s / 9.81 m/s = 0.543 s

2) Time to return from the highest point = time to get to the highest point = 0.543 s

Total time = 0.543s + 0.543 s = 1.086 s ≈ 1.09 s

Answer: 1.09 s

You push a shopping cart filled with groceries (total mass = 20 kg) by applying a force to the cart 30° from the horizontal. If
makkiz [27]

Answer:

3.72 m/s²

Explanation:

Horizontal component of the force applied = Fcosθ = 86 cos 30 = 74.478 N

Force = mass × acceleration = 74.478 N

ma = 74.478 N

a = 74.478 / 20 since friction can be neglected = 3.72 m/s²

antiseptic1488 [7]

Answer:

 w = 1.41 10⁻³ rad / s

Explanation:

For this problem we will use that the angular and linear velocity are related

              v = w r

              w = v / r

Let's calculate

            w = 2.54 10⁻² / 18

            w = 1.41 10⁻³ rad / s

The angular speed of the entire restaurant is the same
