English

Answer:

The author Lukens says people often find it difficult to view things clearly in our life as one finds himself always in the midway. But when a reader reads a story or work of literature, he learns to sort out the important details by removing the non-essential elements. Similarly, he can employ this clarification technique in real life too in order to separate all the experiences that are irrelevant or unimportant and focus on what is relevant. Thus, the learning of this detachment technique by going through a work of literature would assist the reader to find essentials and focus on the significant events of his life by removing everything that's unessential.

The following question refers to “To Da-duh, in Memoriam”:
S_A_V [24]

Answer :

2. She was pleased by the girl's enthusiasm

While telling Da-duh about New York the narrator showed her that she could dance by dancing the truck - a dance popular in the thirties. After this she showed her that she could sing by singing 'I’m Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter', 'Tea for Two' and some other songs. Da-duh was somehow pleased with girl's enthusiasm and gave her a penny to go buy herself a sweet from the sweet shop up the road.
