To find the vertex you need to use the formula

Now that you have x, to find y you need to just simply plug the number that you got for x back into the original equation and solve. Like this-

y= -(-3)2-6(-3)-10

y= 6+18-10

y= 4

This means that your vertex is (-3, 4).

Solving for x and you get x = ±2. This means the vertical asymptotes are at ±2. To solve for horizontal asymptotes you take the limit as x goes to ±∞. Either way you end up with ±∞/∞.
