“Stop and search powers do more harm than good” augments for and against
Alborosie
Idk if this is right but:

against: stop and search powers are heavily racially biased (as you can see with current events). POC tend to be stopped and searched more than whites solely because of the color of their skin. It’s discriminatory and harmful to POC communities. Stop and search powers also give cops too much power. They can abuse it and stop whoever they want, wrongly accusing many

for: people who are speeding can be given a ticket for endangering the road. ppl will slow down and watch their speed bc homies got caught, making streets safer

Why did Miller choose the Salem Witch Trials as the basis for The Crucible?
Andre45 [30]

The McCarthy hearings were similar to the witch trials.  As in the McCarthy Hearings, these people were put on trial without any way to defend themselves. Finally, both during the McCarthy Hearings and during the Salem Witch Trials, the general public was so afraid of being accused of being a communist or a witch respectively that they did not dare question what was going on, nor put a stop to it.

(p.s. please make brainliest. if not its okay tho)
