<h3>Answer:  9</h3>

=====================================================

Work Shown:

f(x) = x-7

f(4) = 4-7

f(4) = -3

We can see that f(4) and -3 are the same number. Because of this, we can replace f(4) with -3

This will have us go from g( f(4) ) to g( -3 )

Then we plug x = -3 into the g(x) function

g(x) = x^2

g(-3) = (-3)^2

g(-3) = 9 is the final answer

Again, since -3 and f(4) are the same thing, we can replace that '-3' in g(-3) to get

g( -3 ) = 9

g( f(4) ) = 9

-------------------

An alternative route:

g(x) = x^2

g( f(x) ) = ( f(x) )^2 .... replace every x with f(x)

g( f(x) ) = ( x-7 )^2 .... plug in f(x) = x-7 for the right hand side only

g( f(4) ) = ( 4-7 )^2 ... plug in x = 4

g( f(4) ) = (-3)^2

g( f(4) ) = 9

How is shading a grid to show 1 tenth different from shading a grid to show 1 hundredth?
soldier1979 [14.2K]
If you have a grid with a hundred units and you need to show 1 hundredth (or 1%) you shade in 1 unit. If you need to show a tenth (or 10%) you shade 10 Units. I would need a picture of the grid to help any further.

A company logo is made up of a square and three identical triangles. What is the area of the logo? Enter your answer in the box.
garri49 [273]
Given:
square with sides measuring 7 cm.
3 triangles attached to three sides of the square. A line bisecting one triangle is measured at 4 cm.

Area of a square = s² = (7cm)² = 49 cm²

Area of a triangle = hb/2 = (4cm*7cm)/2 = 14 cm²
Area of the 3 triangles = 14 cm² x 3 = 42 cm²

Total area of the logo = 49 cm² + 42 cm² = 91 cm²

There are 21 more days before the first big winter storm and the squirrel collects 12 acorns a day, how far away from her origin
alexandr402 [8]
She has 445 left after the bear ate some so
21 × 12 = 252
252 + 445 = 697 acorns

she should maybe bother the bear so he can't hibernate, or steal his food so he knows what it's like

What is the quotient? startfraction n 3 over 2 n minus 6 endfraction divided by startfraction n 3 over 3 n minus 9 endfraction
bazaltina [42]

The quotient of the fraction n³ / (2n - 6) ÷ n³ / (3n - 9) is 2/3

<h3 /><h3>How to solve fraction</h3><h3 />

n³ / (2n - 6) ÷ n³ / (3n - 9)

  • multiply by the reciprocal of n³ / (3n - 9)

= n³ / (2n - 6) × 1 / n³ / (3n - 9)

= 2n - 6 / 3n - 9

= 2(n - 3) / 3(n - 3)

= 2/3

Therefore, quotient of the fraction n³ / (2n - 6) ÷ n³ / (3n - 9) is 2/3
