So what’s it’s saying is to write an Essay talking about how you might have read a story where this quotation has or hasn’t proved right. For example, I could say in the literature piece, “to kill a mocking bird”, the validity of many characters is shown when they face a highly controversial issue, racism, and how they act differently when they are out on the spot. So this would be an examples supporting that the quotation given to you IS true. And then you would just back it with pathos, logos, repetition , etc.

I would say that punctuation, ie a comma , would precede the block quotation to set it apart and then quotation marks would be used to show that it is a quotation, both at the beginning and end of the passage. Quotations are good to show exactly what the author quoted meant so there is no doubt and which can then be accurately commented on.
