-24a²- 6a +9 = - 3(8a² +6a - 9)

8a² +6a - 9 =0

x=(-b +/-√(b² - 4ac))/2a
x = (-6 +/-√(36+4*8*9)  /(2*8) = (-6 +/-√(324)  /16 =  (-6 +/-18)/16
x1 =  (-6 +18)/16 = 0.75
x2 =  (-6 -18)/16 = - 1.5

-24a²- 6a +9 = - 3(8a² +6a - 9) = -3(a - 0.75)(a + 1.5)

Papessa [141]

Ok i) The equation for a slope is y= mx + c where m is the gradient and c the y-intercept. Ok so the gradient is the y rise / x run. You have selected -2 to 4. The rise is -2 and the run is 4. -2 / 4 = -0.5. So y = -0.5x - 2

ii) (0, -2)

iii) I think this one number i). Ill do i) here, -0.5

the area of a trapezoid is 780 cm squared. the shorter base is 48 cm and the height is 15 cm. Find the length of the other base
Anna35 [415]
If you multiply 48cm times 15cm,you get 720cm.Which would leave you with 60 left because 780 minus 720 equals 60.The height of the other base is 60cm.

The radius of a semicircle is 3 feet. What is the semicircle's area?<br>Use 3.14 for Pi
valentinak56 [21]

Answer:

14.13 ft²

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a semicircle is

=  \frac{\pi \:  {r}^{2} }{2}

We were given the radius of the semicircle to be: r=3 feet.

We were also asked to use π as 3.14.

We substitute into the formula to get:

=  \frac{3.14 \times  {3}^{2} }{2}

This is the same as:

=  \frac{3.14 \times  9}{2}

Or

= 3.14 \times  4.5

= 14 .13 {ft}^{2}

The area of the semicircle is 14.13 ft²
